Prophet Stories Coloring Pages: Planting Love for the Prophets in Little Hearts

Colouring a scene from a prophet's story turns a quiet afternoon into a moment of love and connection with the messengers of Allah.

Colouring a scene from a prophet's story turns a quiet afternoon into a moment of love and connection with the messengers of Allah.

The prophets are the best of humanity, and our children should love them before they can fully understand them. One of the gentlest ways to build that love is through story — and story pairs beautifully with colouring.

Why it works

When a child colours a mosque while you tell them about the Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام) raising the foundations of the Ka’bah, the picture and the story lock together in their memory. The hands are busy; the heart is listening.

A simple storytelling routine

  1. Choose one prophet for the week. Keep it light — one story, told simply.
  2. Print a related coloring page. For Nuh (عليه السلام), colour the ark. For Ibrahim (عليه السلام), colour the mosque. For Muhammad (ﷺ), colour the lantern of knowledge.
  3. Tell the story in your own words as they colour. Pause for their questions.
  4. End with a dua: “O Allah, let us love Your prophets and follow their way.”

Keep it honest

We avoid drawing the prophets themselves. Part of loving them is respecting that their images are not for us to invent. Colouring the places, the symbols, and the creation around them keeps the focus where it belongs — on the lesson, not on a face.

May Allah unite us with the prophets at the hawd, and may our children grow up loving them. Ameen.
