Seerah — the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
A roadmap through the prophet's life, with reading suggestions for each age group and a printable timeline for the wall.
How we approach Seerah
The seerah is the most accessible Islamic subject for children — it is a story, and children love stories.
The early life of the Prophet ﷺ, the first revelation, the first Muslims, the persecution, and the migration to Abyssinia. Short, dramatic stories that a child can retell.
The Hijrah, building the first mosque, the battles, the treaties, the conquest of Makkah, and the farewell pilgrimage. The character of the Prophet ﷺ in each situation.
The Prophet ﷺ as a father, husband, neighbour, leader, and friend. His daily habits, his mercy, his justice, and his patience. This is where the seerah becomes practical role-modelling.
For young children: the seerah stories by Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi (simplified). For older children: The Sealed Nectar by Safiur-Rahman Mubarakpuri, read together with discussion. For all ages: the seerah classes available through the Salafi Scholars.
The printable timeline is coming soon — a wall chart that shows the key events of the Prophet's life in chronological order, with dates and illustrations. For now, the Good Deeds Tracker helps children apply the Prophet's character to their own lives.
"What would the Prophet ﷺ do in this situation?" is the most powerful seerah question. When a child faces a conflict, ask this question. It connects the stories to daily life better than any worksheet.
Live the seerah.
The Good Deeds Tracker helps children connect the Prophet\'s character to their own actions every day.
